The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – In the morning of October 29th Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar was immediately taken to the hospital as he suffered chest pain. He was at the gym while he started having chest pain. The same day at around 2:30 pm he was declared dead. Rajkumar will be cremated with full state honours on Sunday at Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru’s Nandini Layout. It is the same place where Puneeth’s father and Kannada icon Dr. Rajkumar was buried. The permission was granted by Chief Minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai to cremate Puneeth’s body next to his father’s burial place.

In an official statement, the hospital wrote, “Puneeth Rajkumar was brought to Vikram Hospital today with diagnosis of heart attack with ECG done by a family doctor. At the time of arrival to the emergency, the patient was non-responsive and was in cardiac asystole. Immediate adv cardiac life support measures were initiated for resuscitation. In spite of prolonged advanced &aggressive measures, patient continued to be non-responsive& asystolic. A panel of medical experts extended all efforts to save him. He was declared dead at 2.30 pm.”

Puneeth Rajkumar was loved by everyone and his sudden death made everyone shock. Even before his demise was declared, hundreds of fans had gathered outside the hospital. The actor’s body was taken to his residence at Sadashiva Nagar and later brought to the Kanteerva Stadium in central Bengaluru. His body will be kept at the stadium on Saturday allowing fans to pay their respect.

Puneeth had pledged to donate his eyes, just like his father. His eyes has been donated on Friday.
