The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – The hit tv series ‘Sakkigoni’ team has officially announced the making of the cinema ‘Laaj Sharanam’. On the occasion of ‘Sakkigoni’ director and actor Kumar Kattel’s birthday, the cinema was announced in an event organized in Kathmandu.

In the presence of comedy legend Hari Bansha Aacharya, actor/director Deepa Shree Niraula, Chairman- Film Directors Guild of Nepal Janak Deep Parajuli, Chairman- Nepal Movie Association Narendra Maharjan, Director Pradeep Bhattarai, Kedar Ghimire, Nirmal Sharma, Dipak Aacharya, Som Dhital, Bishal Bhandari, Om Prasad Agrawal and distributor Manoj Raathi, the announcement was made.

In the program, Media Hub’s Som Dhital was felicitated. Agreement with Ad release as marketing branding partner was also made in the announcement ceremony.

The writer and director of the cinema is Jigri Paade team’s Kumar Kattel. The other crew includes Nabin Shrestha as producer, Ram Naresh Shah as co-producer and Sudip Baral as DOP. Arjun Ghimire (Paade), Sagar Lamsal (Bale), Kamalmani Nepal (Khupi Baau), Mala Limbu, Bijay Baral and Mukunda Shrestha will be featured in pivotal roles. Actor Mukunda Shrestha is making a comeback in Nepali Cinema after 12 years.

‘Laaj Sharanam’ team plans on releasing the cinema on Falgun 14 on the occasion of Mahashivaratri.
