Director Nischal Basnet and ‘Dimaag Kharaab’ team has awaken the hope amongst cine workers that a good Nepali cinema will be unstoppable. The sociopolitical drama has generated such rave reviews that for once Nepali cinema has replaced Bollywood cinema that too Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 in some theatres. Everytime Nepali cinemas used to prepone or postpone its date as per foreign cinemas release calendar and that has somewhat changed with ‘Dimaag Kharaab’. The team has made the change that everyone feared of.
The cinema has kept up the frenzy with high occupancy and houseful business. The shows given has increased and the love continues with audiences thronging in the cinema halls. ” This has proved that a good Nepali cinema will be recognised and loved. Our four crores budgeted cinema is competing with 300 crores Bollywood cinema, but the audiences have taken our side, given us such love, I am gratified.”- says actor Swastima Khadka. Director Nischal Basnet is equally thankful and thrilled on gaining the trust of the audiences. People are demanding a second part of the cinema, this love and trust is beyond happiness. They are travelling to Chitwan and Pokhara for meet and greet with the audiences.
‘Dimaag Kharaab’ is one such story which represents the common man, his dreams, his dejection, and his hopes with the system and what he feels when his hopes get shattered. The characters portrayed are fictional yet relatable. The ordeals they go through are the same as every citizen in our nation deals with every single day. This honest representation, the organic story and the stellar performances have the cinema running houseful in second week of release.
