‘Uunchai’: opening doors for shoot in Nepal

The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – Uunchai’ is about a gang climbing the Everest of friendship. The cinema can open a gateway to tourism and shoot in Nepal for others.

The trailer of Bollywood cinema ‘Uunchai’ has been released and it is creating quite a sensation among Nepali audiences too. Apart from the stellar actors’ ensemble, the cinema has included some parts of Nepal in it which has made an impact in the Nepali audiences.

‘Uunchai’ is about a gang climbing the Everest of friendship. In the cinema three old friends decide to trek to the Everest base camp. The trailer is amazing and what caught our eyes is the astounding cinematography of the route to the base camp. Similarly, to witness the legends Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa dancing with Nepali topi definitely made us happy. ‘Uunchai’ can open a gateway to tourism and shoot in Nepal for others.

The shooting in Nepal has taken place in Kathmandu and in various parts of the mountainous districts, Khotang and Manang.

‘Uunchai’ is about four friends, Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Danny Denzongpa, where Danny shares a wish to go to Mount Everest. However, things change as Danny Denzongpa’s character dies and the three friends decide to trek to the Everest base camp – where they wish to immerse his ashes.

‘Uunchai’ stars Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Parineeti Chopra, Neena Gupta, Sarika and Danny Denzongpa. The cinema, directed by Sooraj Barjatya, will hit the theatres on November 11.
