The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – Based on Kalidas’s play, the trailer of pan-India epic ‘Shaakuntalam’ is here. Actor Samantha features in the titular role. The cinema also stars Dev Mohan and Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha.

South Indian cinemas are continuously creating abuzz with pan-India epics. To join the list latest is Samantha starrer Telugu cinema ‘Shaakuntalam’. The cinema is based on Kalidas’s play. Directed by Gunasekhar, the trailer has received positive response from the audiences. Sharing the trailer, Samantha wrote, “#Shaakuntalam Trailer is here! This FEB 17, experience the #EpicLoveStory unfold only in theatres.” Samantha earlier created a sensation with her performance in Pushpa’s Oo Antava Mawa.

Produced on a relatively lower budget, ‘Shaakuntalam’ is acclaimed for its VFX and is also being compared to the teaser of Prabhas starrer Adipurush. The huge budgeted Adipurush was criticized for animated sequences in its teaser whereas in ‘Shaakuntalam’, the visual effects don’t seem to be compromised. Reacting to the trailer, fans commented the trailer to be 200% better than Adipurush teaser.

‘Shaakuntalam’ is a pan-India release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malyalam and kannada.
