The Cinema Times, Kathmandu- Written and directed by Khagendra Lamichhane, ‘Pani Photo’ is all set to hit the theatres on Shrawan 13. Two character oriented posters of the cinema has been released. Lamichhane had staged the same story at Gurukul Theatre as a famous drama.
Khagendra Lamichhane’s debut directorial PaniPhoto’s poster has been released on Friday. The poster features the protagonists of the cinema, Anup Baral, Menuka Pradhan, Khagendra Lamichhane and Malika Mahat. Actors Anup Baral and Menuka Pradhan can be seen in different looks. They look old and dejected. In another poster released, two characters are shown walking away.
The cinema will be released on Shrawan 13. ‘Pani Photo’ tells the story of parents waiting for their son who went missing during the Maoist People’s war.Lamichhane had staged the same story at Gurukul Theatre as a famous drama Pani Photo. He has converted the same play into a cinema. It was his dream to bring the drama to the silver screen.
Under the banner of Tukee Arts in association with Manjushree film production, ‘Pani Photo’ is produced by Rozina Sitaula and Ravindra Bajracharya. The cinema stars Khagendra Lamichhane, Sunil Pokhrel, Anup Baral, Menuka Pradhan, Prakash Ghimire, Kamal Mani Nepal, Malika Mahat and others.
