It is obvious that audiences have been eagerly waiting for the final match of Kabbadi. It is expectedly the most talked about cinema currently. Is it living up to all the pre-release hype? It can be clearly seen from the advance ticket sale trend at the box office.

Ram Babu Gurung directorial is all set to keep theatres busy. The shows provided by the theatres and pre-booking indicate ‘Kabaddi 4’ might just have the biggest opening after Covid pandemic. As per trade analysts the cinema’s business in the first weekend opening might cross four crores, which is overwhelming for a Nepali cinema in present time.

The main multiplex chains have already opened advance booking and have set a nice number of shows for the cinema. The same multiplexes which were previously reluctant on adding shows to Nepali cinemas have quite willingly faired in advance openings. QFX Cinemas have set 87 shows for ‘Kabaddi 4’ and this is the highest number of shows any cinema has ever got in history. Even KGF Chapter 2 had been given 80 shows.

As of now in QFX, around 80% of shows are sold out for day 1 and 2 and others are expected to get full. Big Movies witnesses this massive advance ticket sale by a Nepali cinema for the first time in history. Producer Mani Ram Pokhrel expects one and half crores opening from Kathmandu Valley itself.

‘Kabaddi 4’ will be released in 150 screens all over Nepal. Similarly, after a week of Nepal release, the cinema will be shown in Nepali language speaking regions of India. Apart from Nepal and India, the cinema has already grossed a net collection of two crores from abroad shows and has earned 1 crore from selling digital rights.

‘Kabaddi The Final Match’ stars Daya Hang Rai, Saugat Malla and Miruna Magar in pivotal roles. The cinema has received a U certificate from the censor board. It is all set to release on Jestha 13, 2079.
