The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – For the first time in Nepal, an international company has joined hands for the ‘Nepal Media Awards’ which is being organized with the objective of honoring and encouraging journalists in Nepal. The main sponsor of the award is Life Insurance Corporation whereas Dubai based ‘Blue Chip’ is the co-sponsor. Recently, an agreement has been signed between the organizer Dream High Nepal Pvt. Ltd. and Blue Chip Investment Company.
Dubai based Blue Chip Investment Company is into trading business and has already invested in number of Bollywood and South Indian cinemas. The CEO for Blue Chip, Rabindranath Soni, expressed his happiness to be associated with the awards program to be held in Nepal. He further mentioned that they are going to invest in different sectors of Nepal in the coming days. He and his the team is preparing to come to Nepal to participate in the award.
Organized by Blue Chip FX and Lalchan Builders (Som Lalchan), Poonam Yadav is the producer of ‘Nepal Media Awards’. She has a history of producing some Hindi songs and is also preparing to produce Nepali and Bollywood films soon. She said that she and her team have plans to take Nepali award to an international level. Yadav further mentioned that she and her team will make sure the program looks grand and of high level. Likewise, Kamal GC, President of Dream High Nepal also expressed his happiness over the collaboration with Bluechip.
The organizing committee head Kamal GC mentioned that the award is being organized in association with Nepal Journalist Association will see awardees from different sectors including television, print medium, F.M.,Radio and online journalists. It will be judged on the basis of the achievements made during the past one year. ‘Double Tree by Hilton’ is the hotel association sponsor.
