The Cinema Times, Kathmandu- There is a good beginning of 2018 Bollywood Box Office. Already 4 cinemas had crossed over 100 crore business collection in first 3 month.

Six cinema hit to success among total 16 major cinemas in first 3 month. The sum up of business collection of these succeed cinema makes over 700 crore. Recently, Ajaya Devgan starrer ‘Raid’ also marked to 100 crore club entry on its 22nd day. It is the 4th cinema to marked hundred crore club.

‘Baaghi 2’ collected 117.85 crore in total 8 day, ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ made 108.46 crore and ‘Padmaavat’ did 300.26 crore business and entered in hundred crore club before ‘Raid’.

Rani’s ‘Hichki’ Hit, Anushka’s Pari’ Average:

Female oriented cinema released between first 3 month did good box office collection. Anushka’s ‘Pari’ released after the record breaking business of Dipika Padukone’s ‘Padmaavat’. ‘Pari’ could not convince the audience even after high buzz of limelight before release.

However, it secured its investment and made only 24.65 crore business. Rather, Rani Mukherji starrer ‘Hichki’ marked success and still its shows are ongoing. It is in its 3rd week of release. Cinema made in minimal budget of 20 crore, earned 38.90 crore coming to the fifteenth day.

‘Hichki’ had already bagged hundred percent profit of investment. Similarly, the 4th series of ‘Hate Story’ could not do business as expected. It only secured its investment to above 20 crore.

Akshay’s ‘Padman’ Hit, however, could not reach to 100 Crore:

Akshay starrer ‘Padman’ could not attract the audience upto hall as the compliments of critics and audiences. It started with 62.87 crore income on first week and landed to 78.95 crore lifetime income.

It was expected to easily hit 100 crore clubs looking at opening business. But, at second week business badly drop off, which even could not hook to 80 crore.

‘The Post’ ‘Mukkabaaz’, ‘1921’, ‘Kaalakaandi’, ‘Aiyaary’, ‘Welcome To Newyork’, ‘3 Stories’, ‘Dil Juunglee’ are the flop cinema of the year.
