‘Bluechip Investment’ shows interest in producing Nepali cinema

The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – Bluechip Investment, which has financed many Bollywood and South Indian movies, has shown its desire to produce Nepali movies. The company’s recently invested in Bollywood movies ‘Suryavanshi and 83’ which were released recently. Both the movies were able to perform well.

‘Blue Chip’ team, arrived in Kathmandu from Dubai on Thursday to participate in the ‘Nepal Media Awards’ organized in the capital on Saturday. “We have done a lot of work in Bollywood,” Bluechip CEO Rabindranath Soni told the press. “Now we are willing to produce a good Nepali cinema. During our stay in Nepal, we will discuss about cooperating in other businesses along with film’, he further added.

He also recalled the time when he watch Nepali movie ‘Aishwarya’. He further added that he and his team are ready to promote the culture of Nepal as the cultures of Nepal and India are similar. Though it was his first time in Nepal, Soni said that he felt Nepal as his own country.

Bluechip is the co-sponsor of the Nepal Media Awards which has been produced by Poonam Yadav. Soni, the CEO of Bluechip Investment Company, which has invested heavily in various sectors including real estate, forex, gold and currency, has come to Nepal along with the company’s operations head Gurmeet Kaur, sales and marketing head Suraj Jumani and Dr. Priti Giri.
