‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Breaking Global Records & Opening Weekend

The Cinema Times, Kathmandu- Released on April 27, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ is smashing records breaking hit in its global debut over the weekend.

It already has earned $250 million in three days, which is the biggest domestic opening of all time. It breaks the record of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ ($248 million).

Its overseas opening collection is $360 million. The cinema opening with the blast of $630 million overtakes the previous global opening record of ‘The Fate of the Furious’. The record of ‘The Fate of the Furious’ was $541.9 million opening weekend hail set in 2017.

Despite of two big records breaking, Infinity War has not been able to surpass the overseas record of ‘The Fate of the Furious’ yet. ‘The Fate of the Furious’ overseas weekend haul was $443.2 million. However, Infinity War is yet to release in world’s big cinema market China Box Office. It will hit China theaters on May 11.

Biggest Opening Weekend in India

Filled by word of mouth, it is doing a record breaking box office in India. It scored 31.30 crore in first day, 30.50 crore in second day and estimated 34-36 crore in its third day in India.

The sum up of all three days will make 95.8 to 97.8 crore gross collection only in India. This is the highest collection ever in India by any Hollywood cinema.

Biggest Opening Weekend of All Time in These Countries

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ is also marking the biggest opening in dozens of other markets like South Korea ($39.2 million), Brazil ($18.8 million) and Mexico ($25.1 million), Philippines ($12.5 million), Thailand ($10 million), Indonesia ($9.6 million) and Malaysia ($8.4 million) including US and India.

High Even in Nepal

Cinema making released even in Nepal is bagging an enthusiastic business. It is smashing a houseful business since its release day. However, mathematical business report has to be done yet. Utmost shows are houseful while it has captured more than 75% shows in Multiplex.
