Arshad Warsi accuses Big B of abandoning him

The Cinema Times-Actor Arshad Warsi doesn’t hesitate to call veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan his godfather for getting him into the acting profession, but says Big B abandoned him after that. Arshad, who rose to fame after playing the character of Circuit in ‘Munnabhai MBBS’, says Mr Bachchan left him after his debut.

Arshad’s debut cinema was ‘Tere Mere Sapne’ which was produced by Amitabh Bachchan’s company ABCL, Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Ltd. Prior to his acting debut, he had worked as an assistant director and choreographer in a few projects.

At a movie promotion event, Arshad was asked who he considered his godfather in the industry. To which he replied, “Mr B, as I started my career with ABCL and Joy Augustine, my debut director. These people got me in this profession, but then they left me. So I don’t know what to call them, godfather or which term.”
