Alia’s Stardum

The Cinema Times

The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – Alia Bhat’s ‘Razzi’ is the second women-oriented Bollywood cinema to enter 100 crore box club. Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ in 2015 was first women-oriented cinema to grab this success. And Alia’s ‘Razzi’ successfully set this record within 17 released day.

Alia debuted in 2012 from ‘Student of The Year’, is powerpack figure not only in acting, but also in box office. Interesting fact is that, ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ is the sequel of ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ which was itself a brand. This result to high buzz of cinema, its trailer and song in market before release. And here ‘Razzi’ is neither a franchise cinema nor created any buzz in market before release. ‘Razzi’ showering the appreciations and praising for critics and audiences is in race of Alia’s highest earning cinema.

Earlier ‘2 State’ and ‘Badrinathki Dulhaniya’ of Alia also marked to 100 crore club before ‘Razzi’. ‘2 State’ earned 102.13 crore and ‘Badrinathki Dulhaniya’ collected 116.68 crore. ‘Razzi’ made under the 40-crore budget earned around 102.50 crore in third weekend. So, it is only 14 crores away from ‘Badrinathki Dulhaniya’ record. ‘Razzi’ will be the most grosser cinema of Alia if could to enter 15 crore box office.
