The Cinema Times, Kathmandu- Bollywood cinema ‘Pad man’ starring Akshay Kumar collected the good praises from audience and critics.

People loved the subject of cinema revolving around the menstrual health and need for sanitary napkins. However, could not stand in better position in Box Office. According to the reports of Indian Media, ‘Pad man’ could not secure producer.

Cinema opening with quite well box office could not manage the speed on Second day. The second week Box Office collection was equal to the ongoing ‘Padmavaat’ fourth week box collection.

‘Pad man’ opening with 10 crore 26 lakh collection, slow down to 2 crore 10 lakh in second week while ‘Padmaavat’ made 1 crore 75 lakh in its fourth week.

It was estimated to earn 20 crore in second weekend while it earned 40 crore in first weekended. Sadly, it slow down the speed that it even could not earn 10 crore,and result the second weekend collection of  just 1 crore.

Cinema made on budget of 70 crore only grab 71 crore 90 lakh collection in total 10 days. So Indian media claims, there is no possibility of hit tag for cinema, while it needed above 95 crore business to hold a hit tag for cinema.

Before this, ‘Airlift’, ‘Houseful 3’. ‘Rustom’, ‘Joly LLB 2’, and ‘Toile- Ek Prem Katha’ of Akshay Kumar cross the line of 100 crore box office. ‘Pad man’ was also expected to cross the 100 crore entry easily, but it failed to do.
