Babari Rang of Aditi Budhathoki

The Cinema Times

The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – Being an actor was not Aditi’s dream. Coming from a family of medical professionals, she aspired to be one herself. But destiny had something else stored for her. She got an opportunity to be on the cover page of a magazine and the door to the glamour world opened.

‘Babari’ is all set to hit the theatres on Asoj 14, on the occasion of Dashain. The ‘Babari’ girl Aditi Budhathoki is excited and nervous at the same time. She is returning to the silver screen after some time. ‘Babari’ is the first cinema from her home production.

Aditi made her debut in Nepali cine industry opposite Anmol KC in Kri. The cinema had its own hype and she stood out with her innocent looks. She had played the role of a village girl. Her second cinema ‘Babari’s character is totally different from her first. Though a village girl, Babari is bold, confident and is not intimidated by anyone. She is not afraid to speak her mind. She might look arrogant as she doesn’t even obey her parents, but she is honest and has a pure heart.

Aditi dedicated herself in the workshop to portray this character well. She says, Babari is different from the real Aditi and it wasn’t an easy task to be Babari. It had been a while since she was away from the silver screen and audiences have their expectations. This is why she is a tad bit nervous on leveling up to the expectation, but is definitely excited to be back.
