The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – Set to create history, Santosh Sen’s much anticipated cinema ‘Balidan’has announced the release date. The cinema is slated to release on Fulpati, 2082. The chronicle against exploitation, injustice and societal oppressors, ‘Balidan’ is an epic story with stellar cast and the remarkable storyline. The team has also released two character defining posters which have increased the cinema’s hype.
The two striking posters have intensified anticipation among cinema enthusiasts. Both posters feature the protagonist Samir Bhatt in iconic emotions. In one poster, Samir is drenched in blood, embodying a rebellious spirit. Kali Mata’s fierce statue in the backdrop and weapon in his hand adds up to the tension. The other poster shows the protagonist as a daredevil dragging a lifeless body through raging flames. Both posters symbolize the action-packed narrative the cinema promises.
Santosh Sen writes, when he first envisioned making a cinema like Balidan, he never imagined the immense sacrifices it would demand. This is not just a tale of a single time period, it represents yesterday, today and tomorrow. It portrays the struggle of the oppressed, not just here but everywhere. This is why they could not compromise on its production. To enhance the cinema’s quality, the team has incorporated expert technology in the post-production phase.
On targeting Dashain release, Sen posts on his social media- Coincidentally, the story of ‘Balidan’ revolves around the symbolic sacrifice of exploitative demons before the goddess. Embracing this essence, we have decided on a Dashain release. The blood, sweat and effort invested in the cinema are dedicated to delivering an extraordinary cinematic experience.
The cinema stars Samir Bhatt, Saugat Malla, Arpan Thapa, Richa Sharma and other prominent actors, strengthening its appeal. Presented by Asusen Films, the cinema is produced by Pawan Bradford Bista and Prem Puri.
