The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – Samar Niraula’s debut directorial cinema Mummy’s first song is out. Titled ‘Ma Ta Yasai Nakkali’, the song features Priyanka Karki and Deeya Maskey. The lyrics and the choreography suits the horror cinematic theme.

Penned by Hark Saud, in SD Yogi’s composition, the song is sung by Samikshya Adhikari and Bigyani Parajuli. Vikram Swar’s choreography has created a bold and beautiful masterpiece. The leads Maskey and Karki have executed a brilliant performance. The song opens with a tree surrounded with bones and Maskey clad in a bridal attire looking at a mirror giving the ancient boksi/chudail story vibes. Overall, the song captivates audiences with its melody and visuals.

The horror family drama ‘Mummy’ promises an emotional yet terrifying exploration of familial bonds and supernatural threats. The cinema stars Priyanka Karki, Sulakshyan Bharati, Deeya Maskey, Samip Niraula, Aayushi Dhakal, Jvis Shrestha, Ghanashyam Joshi, Geet Bista, Gurans Dhakal and others. Helmed by Samar Niraula, making a debut in Nepali cinebiz, the story delves into themes of supernatural dynamics.

Under the banner of So25, the cinema is produced by Lokraj Joshi and Purnima Joshi. The crew includes Nisal Poudel and Sarad Mahato as DOP, Suren Maharjan as Editor, Dinesh Bista in VFX and Rohit Shakya’s background score. Likewise, Shrawal Rp as Sound Editor, Deepesh Chaudhary  as colorist and SD Yogi in music made the team. Suman Koirala is the executive producer.

Written by Purnima Joshi and Samar Niraula, ‘Mummy’ is slated to release on Magh 25. Kafiya Films has the distribution rights of the cinema inside the valley and Kuber Cine Distribution for outside the valley.
