The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – With Bipin Karki in and as Kaji, the much-anticipated cinema ‘Kaji’, directed by Laxman Rijal, has finalized its release date. The production team unveiled the cinema’s striking first-look poster confirming the cinema will hit theatres nationwide on Chaitra 27, perfectly aligning with the Nepali New Year.

The first look features lead actor Bipin Karki in a sharp, youthful avatar- clean-cut hair, trimmed beard and dressed in a crisp shirt. His intense, contemplative expression hints at a layered character and an emotional storyline. The poster captures him in a thoughtful pose-reflecting on something. Actor Keki Adhikari also appears in the poster, portrayed close to Bipin as though held affectionately near his heart. The visual evokes nostalgia, giving a glimpse of shared meals, memories, and moments- suggesting that ‘Kaji’ centers on a heartfelt family love story.

With the first-look poster of ‘Kaji’, actor Keki Adhikari shared a heartfelt note that beautifully captured the emotion behind the cinema. ‘My Kaji, my entire world- your eyes are the tender mirror where I see my truest, most beautiful self, and your shoulder is the soft pillow where I rest and weave the sweetest dreams of life. In you, I rediscover myself. I long for the day you return.’

Alongside the lead pair, the cinema boasts an ensemble cast including Garima Sharma, Prakash Ghimire, Hemant Budhathoki, Bishal Pahari, Binod Neupane, Rashmi Bhatt, Hiuwala Gautam, Sandip Babu Lohani, Roji Shrestha, Ganga Sharma, Nawaraj Giri, Buddhi Sagar Khanal, Prashamsa Subedi, Kritika Sharma and child artist Dikshita Aryal.

‘Kaji’ marks director Laxman Rijal’s return to cinemas after eight years. Rijal revealed that he chose to return because the script resonated strongly with his creative vision. His earlier works include Kasam, Dhuwa Yo Nasha, Alvida, Kaira and productions like December Falls and Ganapati.

Produced under Rijal & Rijal Production, the cinema is backed by Ram Prasad Rijal with Ashim Kafle as executive producer and Nehan Rijal and Bikash Raj Joshi as producers. Penned by Pradeep Bhardwaj,the team includes Chintan Rajbhandari as cinematographer, music crafted by Kali Prasad Baskota.

The technical team comprises production designer Ojaswi Ojha, colorist Shyam Kunwar, sound designer Sagar Aryal, choreographer Kabiraj Gahatraj, background score by Sujil Karmacharya, with Ronald Shrestha as creative head. The production head is Prakash Hamal, editing supervisor Banish Shah and editor Bipin Malla.

‘Kaji’ will be distributed by Sriram Balaji Films.
