The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – Popular TV actor and content creator Arjun Ghimire, widely known by his stage name Paade from hit TV series Bhadragol and Sakkigoni has officially ventured into cinema direction with ‘Jharipachhiko Indreni’. Ghimire held the muhurat ceremony of his debut directorial at the Dhanwantari Barahi Temple in Lalitpur on the occasion of Kheer Khane Din (Shrawan 15).
Ghimire previously produced and acted in ‘Laaj Sharanam’ released earlier this year. Now as a director, he plans on bringing a fresh family drama that will strike a chord with audiences. From the Sakkigoni cast, only Priyana Acharya (Munni) has been included in the cinema so far, with Ghimire hinting that more familiar faces may join depending on the story’s need.
The cinema also marks the comeback of veteran actor Ganesh Upreti to Nepali cinema after nearly nine years. Expressing his excitement, Upreri said he is thrilled to return with such a strong team. The cast also includes Nirmal Sharma, Ramesh Upreti, and Deepashree Niraula with Ghimire’s own appearance yet to be confirmed.
The shooting will take place across Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur and is scheduled to wrap within 45 days. Produced under the banner of Pashupati Shivji Entertainment, the cinema is penned by Kumar Byanjankar with screenplay by Ganesh karki, Arjun Ghimire and Bishal Ghimire and Buddha Thapa as cinematographer. Sushil Kedariya is backing the project as producer.
One of the cinema’s songs will feature a rap performance by Kathmandu Metropolitan Mayor Balen Shah. This unique twist, strong cast, compelling story, ‘Jharipachhiko Indreni’ brings excitement among audiences.
