The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – Director Dipendra Lama has officially announced his new project titled ‘Muna Madan ko Breakup’. Actor Raj Katwal is confirmed for the lead role. The cinema brings together a creative team, including screenwriter and critic Samipyaraj Timalsena and well-known photojournalist Shreedhar Poudel as executive producer.
This project marks a reunion for Lama, Timalsena and Poudel after their previous collaboration on the critically acclaimed 2075 cinema ‘Gopi’ starring Bipin Karki, Barsha Raut and Surakshya Pant. The new venture promises a refreshing narrative. So far, only actor Raj Katwal has been finalized.
While casting is still underway, Katwal- last seen in Narsimha Avatar, fits the character perfectly shares the director. Actor Katwal, enthusiastic about the role, described it as a new challenge. He is preparing himself to present a more polished version on screen. The team is scrutinizing for the rest of the cast to match the roles authentically.
With a directorial track record of six cinemas that includes directorial debut ‘Ghampani’ to ‘Dukhi Aatma’, Lama envisions ‘Muna Madan Ko Breakup’ as a heartfelt and entertaining cinema. Writer Timalsena shared that the cinema will offer a unique rural-flavored story. Considering the fact that bringing the audiences to theatres ain’t a piece of cake, the team is putting their best effort into the script, says writer Timalsena.
The executive producer Poudel mentioned that the cinema will be shot in rural areas of Kaski district. Once the screenplay and pre-production work are perfected, only then the shooting will begin. He emphasized that they are working with patience to deliver quality.
