Director Raj Bahadur Sane’s ‘Sitamol’ Unveils Three New Posters

The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – Three new posters of upcoming Nepali cinema ‘Sitamol’ have officially been released. The posters depict emotional despair of the characters. Directed by Raj Bahadur Sane, the cinema’s posters feature the main characters and the character portrayal is expected to heighten audience anticipation for the cinema.

The first poster features Saugat Malla, Benisha Hamal and child actor Karan Nepali in an emotionally intense moment. The second poster showcases a broader ensemble including Saugat Malla, Benisha Hamal, Shree Krishna Niroula, Januka Bishwakarma and Lokendra Lekhak in their respective characters. The third poster focuses solely on Saugat Malla, walking with the aid of crutches, embodying a sense of quiet despair.

Scheduled to hit the theatres on Shrawan 23, ‘Sitamol’ stars Saugat Malla, Benisha Hamal, Shree Krishna Niroula, Januka Bishwakarma, Karan Nepali, Lokendra Lekhak, Bhugol Karki, Hiunwala Gautam, Sushil Pokharel, Dinesh Regmi, R.R. Khadka, Gyanu Malla, Pawan Bhattarai, Kajal Bhujel and Aradhya Rajyalaxmi DC. Shree Krishna and Januka make their silver screen debut in this cinema.

The makers aim to symbolically portray Nepal and the everyday lives of common people through this cinema. They believe the cinema critically examines and questions deep-rooted regressive social norms and traditions, thus has the potential to connect with the audiences. The released posters will surely increase curiosity among audiences.

Produced by Tulshi Devi Films in association with Juntara Films, the story is written by Pradeep Bhardwaj and director Sane. Presented by Simosh Sunuwar, the producers are Bhugol Kumar Karki and Bikash Raj Joshi, with Apsara Nepali, Ajay Kumar Malla and Kumar KC serving as executive producers, and Gangaram Shrestha as co-producer.

Technical credits include cinematography by Divya Raj Subedi, music by Babul Giri, choreography by Kabiraj Gahatraj, editing by Bande Prasad, color grading by Rajendra Moktan, sound design by Mukesh Shah, and action by Dev Maharjan and Shankar Maharjan.
