‘Mahajatra’s Glorious 51 Days Celebration

The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – ‘Mahajatra’ has marked 51 days of release. It indeed calls for a celebration! The third installment of the hit Jatra series ‘Mahajatra’ is loved by the audiences for its realistic presentation, approach with humor and message. It has made a total of 16 crores gross collection in Nepal so far.

Pradip Bhattarai directed ‘Mahajatra’ released last year on Chaitra 9. ‘Jatra’ and ‘Jatrai Jatra’ had also celebrated the 51 days mark. Bhattarai’s directorials ‘Shatrugate’ and ‘Mahapurush’ also had achieved the glorious 51 days count. It is a remarkable achievement for the director as he has become the director with the most number of cinemas celebrating 51 days in the last decade.

The cinema celebrated 51 days on Saturday in 10 theatres inside and outside the valley viz Kathmandu’s QFX, Big Movies, FCube, BSR Movies, Ranjana Cineplex, Cine De Chef, CK Cinemas and Nepalgunj’s Cine Royal. On this happy moment, actor Hari Bansha Aacharya said that it is a moment of pride for all Nepali cinema lovers as ‘Mahajatra’ gained the accolades for its outstanding performances.

Written and directed by Pradip Bhattarai, ‘Mahajatra’ featured Bipin Karki, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Rabindra Jha, Hari Bansha Aacharya, Barsha Raut, Divya Dev, Rajaram Poudel, Suman karki, Shishir Bangdel, Gaumaya Gurung, Prakash Ghimire, Arvin Khadka in pivotal roles.
