The Cinema Times, Kathmandu-One look at the trailer and it dazzles you! The performances are so real and the poetic start to the trailer is intriguing. Director Upendra Subba is all up for another genuine story with ‘Mansarra’.

The trailer, within minutes of its release has already garnered positive responses. And why not, in that four and half minutes of the trailer all the characters are well defined and the flow is gripping. It doesn’t let loose for a second. Special mention has to be given to Madhu Kerung for the Palam brilliance.

Miruna Magar portrays the character of a single mother looking after her kid alone. In another setting, Dayahang is searching for the lost love of his life. Miruna’s neighbour is a couple played by Brahmin Praveen Khatiwada and Newar Menuka Pradhan. They are childless and the husband’s closeness to Miruna makes the wife doubt her husband’s fidelity. And there are incidences where the ‘Baje’ as Miruna calls him, has feelings for her.

Mansarra is a particular type of paddy which seeds have to be mixed with other species before planting as it is believed to not grow alone. However, Mansarra in the cinema shows possibility of independent growth. Hats off to the way the trailer presents the unique combination of genuine characters and cultural significance.

Written by the director himself, ‘Mansarra’ is produced by cinematographer Shailendra Dhoj Karki. The cinema is co-produced by Parsu Adhikari, Bishnu Kumar Thebe and Jiban Limbu Thaklung. Other crews of the cinema include Nimesh Shrestha as Editor, Manhang Lawati, Manik Shankar, Shayok Mukarung and Shubham Chamling Rai as Art Director. The executive producer of the cinema is Sijan Dahal and Kiran Rai is the chief assistant director. Apple Entertainment has the distribution rights and G21 Digital is the digital partner.

Dayahang Rai and Miruna Magar are the latest hit onscreen couple. Their chemistry is much loved by the audiences. This hit director-actor trios are coming up with ‘Mansarra’ after ‘Jaari’. It is obvious, the audiences have certain expectations from this cinema and are already waiting for it. Earlier Jaari’s box office collection was over 17 crores.

By the look of the trailer, it is confirmed that actors Dayahang Rai and Miruna Magar are once again set to enchant the silver screen in ‘Mansarra’. Director Upendra Subba is all up for another genuine story.

The production company Kabaddi Films had already announced the release date of the cinema. ‘Mansarra’ will hit the cinemas on Baisakh 21.
