It is you who gave them the blockbuster Kabaddi series. ‘Kabaddi 4’ is the highest grossing Nepali cinema till date which is Ram Babu Gurung directorial. So, with the upcoming release ‘Degree Maila’, the audiences have faith on ending this year and starting next year with a cinema that will stay with them for a long time. Director Ram Babu Gurung is hopeful of meeting the expectations with ‘Degree Maila’.

Who doesn’t crave for success! It is obvious that after all the hard work, the director anticipates his cinema to get the love and with love comes the box-office collection. With Kabaddi’s 24 crores, will ‘Degree Maila’ gross as much as his previous blockbuster? The director says- Hopefully! This is a commercial cinema thus certain business is expected. Our team has worked on making the cinema entertaining for the audiences.

On one hand, Gurung expects business. But, on the other hand, he wants ‘Degree Maila’ to create its own niche as a cinema the audiences relate to. It is not just money, he wishes to earn the approval as a director who makes cinemas that touch the audience’s heart.

The team has shown sheer dedication on the story, character structure, pre and post production, thus there is hope that their effort will be rewarded. One cannot be too sure until the cinema releases on how the audiences will react. But director Gurung is satisfied with his work and he finds ‘Degree Maila’ as strong as his previous works. He leaves the rest to the audiences.

The main leads of the cinema Dayahang Rai and Aanchal Sharma are featured together for the first time in ‘Degree Maila’. Actors Maotse Gurung, Prakash Ghimire, Bijay Baral, Buddhi Tamang, Kamal Mani Nepal, Pashupati Rai and others are in pivotal roles.

Produced under the banner of Baasuri Films, the cinema is produced by Bishal Gurung, Mani Ram Pokhrel, Madhu Mijar and Sushma Gurung with Krishh Lama as executive producer. Other crews include Shiva Ram Shrestha and Riley H. Shen as cinematographer, Nimesh Shrestha as editor, Rohit Shakya in background music.
