‘Mahajatra’ celebrated at Grand Premiere

The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – The ‘Mahajatra’ team are on cloud nine and why not, their cinema has received accolades by all in the grand premiere organized on Tuesday at Kathmandu. Director Pradip Bhattarai was appreciated for the kind of cinema he has presented. Overall, Mahajatra was applauded for its humor quotient and the message it dispatched with convenience.

The grand premiere was attended by cine makers, artists and journalists. Everyone enjoyed the cinema thoroughly and passed on wonderful comments.

Actor Keki Adhikari highly recommends the cinema as she whole heartedly enjoyed it. She was equally excited to watch legendary actor Hari Bansha Acharya in such an intense character. Actor Jeetu Nepal congratulated the team for bringing out an amazing cinema and also acknowledged the political message the cinema sent with humor. Another actor Sushil Shrestha thoroughly enjoyed ‘Mahajatra’ while actor Reecha Sharma said this is the best of director Pradip Bhattarai till date.

Legendary actor Madan Krishna Shrestha graced the premiere and appreciated Pradip Bhattarai’s work and also added they are learning more about the craft from his work these days. Director Bhattarai had earlier worked in Maha Sanchar’s project.

Director Deepa Shree Niraula said that all characters have been portrayed so well. Actor Nisha Adhikari Malla says the cinema is amazing as expected and it is a must watch. Similarly, actor Prakash Saput acknowledged the Jatra series for the growth of Nepali Cinema and upgrading the making standard. The cinema made the audiences laugh and get emotional and addressed a strong message along.

After receiving such love at the premiere, actor Hari Bansha Acharya felt like the team has won the world cup. He added the appreciation has added extra energy and  excitement. Actor Rabindra Jha says he watched the cinema as an audience and enjoyed it. On the other hand, actors Rabindra Singh Baniya and Barsha Raut were busy noticing the audiences’ reactions and they got the satisfied vibes as expected.

With a good script in hand, director Bhattarai did make a brilliant cinema. The credit goes to the director and the wonderful te he assembled. It took eight months to ready the script and after it had been finalized they worked 18-20 hours daily during the shoot. The fruit of their hard workdid pay well. Like the audiences waiting eagerly to watch Mahajatra on big screen, the team are also excited to receive the audiences applause.

Actor Bipin Karki assures that ‘Mahajatra’ is far more entertaining than the earlier series. He also expressed his gratitude to the director for making him the hero of Nepali cinema.

Written and directed by Pradip Bhattarai, ‘Mahajatra’ will have multiple incidences leading to the havoc. The cinema will have something unpredictable. The casts include Bipin Karki, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Rabindra Jha, Hari Bansha Acharya, Barsha Raut, Arjun Jung Shahi, Prakash Ghimire, Raja Ram Poudel, Prabin Khatiwada, Divyadev, Suman Karki, Shishir Bangdel, Gaumaya Gurung, Arvin Khadka.

Produced under the banner of Shatkon Arts, the cinema is produced by Max Dipesh Khatri and Yagyashwar Poudel with Rabindra Singh Baniya as executive producer. Slated to release on Chaitra 9 ‘Mahajatra’ is expected to break records.
