‘Dayarani’ trailer: story of an infertile couple

The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – Why is it onerous for men to accept their infertility and why is it that easy to blame it on a woman! That woman, on the other hand, accepts it without any question and starts searching a bride for her husband so that his progeny continues. What follows in this crazy tale is presented in the trailer of the cinema ‘Dayarani’.

Actors Dayahang Rai and Diya Pun starrer cinema Dayarani’s trailer is here. The lead actors are portrayed as husband-wife. They cannot conceive and as per doctor’s report, there is problem in husband’s sperm cells causing the infertility. But he blames it on his wife and tells her that it is the wife who is infertile.

This typical Nepali woman, in turn wants her husband to remarry and even thinks of making her sister ‘the other woman’. Amidst all this, another woman enters the scene claiming she is pregnant with the man’s child. This is well presented in the 2 minutes 35seconds long trailer.

The climax will be entertaining. How can the infertile husband be a father – is he being framed or is there any mistake in the doctor’s report!

Actor Maotse Gurung is making a directorial debut with ‘Dayarani’. Written by Gurung himself, ‘Dayarani’ is produced under the banner of Baasuri Films and Maotse Gurung Films, the crews comprise of Shailendra D. Karki as DOP, Bikram Swar as choreographer. Ram Babu Gurung and Apil Bista are the executive producers of the cinema. Mohan Gurung, New IT Venture, Kiran Gurung, Kendra Limbu, Maj. Khusiman Gurung MVO, Capt. Surendra Gurung and Capt. Surya Prakash Gurung have jointly produced the cinema.

Daya Hang Rai, Diya Pun, Bijay Baral, Pramish Gurung, Shrisha Kunwar, Nayan Gurung, Puskar Gurung, Tika Ram Ghale, Surya Sunwar, Rajendra Thapa, Sita Devi Gurung, Krishti Gurung are seen in pivotal roles with Buddhi Tamang in guest appearance. ‘Dayarani’ is slated to release on Magh 26
