‘Dimaag Kharaab’s glorious 51 days of release, announces sequel

The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – It is and should be a proud moment for all Nepali cinema makers and lovers as Nischal Basnet’s Dimaab Kharaab celebrates 51 days of its release.

In a time like this, where very few Nepali cinemas do well in box office and when those few are the ones portraying our realistic issues, then it is cherry on top. One of such cinemas is ‘Dimaag Kharaab’. The cinema has very well presented the story of a tussle between a common man and the system. The cinema has voiced the struggle and dejection felt by every common man and this relatable story has touched everyone’s heart.

The team celebrated 51 days of happiness at Ranjana Cineplex, Kathmandu. The celebration was attended by actors Dayahang Rai, Khagendra Lamichhane, Swastima Khadka, Bijay Baral, Rama Thapaliya, director Nischal Basnet, producer Suraj Bam Thakuri and others.

Sharing his happiness, the director also announced the sequel and its release date. He said, ‘Many have asked us about the sequel. We affirm that the sequel is on its way and will be released on Dashain of 2083 BS. The sequel will also have similar subject of national issues.’

Director Basnet had returned to cinema making after six years with ‘Dimaag Kharaab’. The cinema has already grossed more than NRs 10 crores.

The cinema is produced by Raunak Bikram Kandel with Suraj Bam Thakuri as Executive Producer. The team comprises Susan Prajapati as cinematographer, Nimesh Shrestha as editor, Rajkumar Uprety in action, Rohit Shakya as background scorer and Ram pandey/Keshab panday as Still Photographer.
