The Cinema Times

The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – It takes a lot of process in making a good cinema and it is much difficult to carry the legacy with its sequel. This is the reason why it took seven long years for ‘Pashupati Prasad 2: Bhashme Don’ to come out. The makers very well knew the sentiment attached to the cinema. Director Dpendra K. Khanal says they were adamant in making a worthy sequel otherwise the idea was dropped. There were brainstorming, few scripts were also penned and finally they settled with the one they thought would carry the legacy of ‘Pashupati Prasad’; hence, ‘Pashupati Prasad 2: Bhashme Don’ was made.

With the promotional materials reaching the audiences, there has been speculation whether the cinema is commercialized disregarding the emotions attached to the cinema. The makers made it clear nothing has been done to harm the attachment of the audiences with the prior cinema. In fact, they have devoted themselves in giving the audiences an amazing cinematic experience starting with the sync sound tryout.

The advance ticket sold out shows how delighted the audiences are to watch the cinema. As the release date nears, actor Bipin Karki who plays the protagonist is ready to take the responsibilities on how the cinema will be taken by the viewers. But, he is confident that the character he portrayed will deeply touch everyone- people will smile with Bhashme Don and also shed tears with him, he is positive about that.

Actor Swastima Khadka says this cinema has a special place in her heart. The character she portrays is something different and from the very beginning she knew she was taking a risk. She trusted her instinct and the director in making the character believable and memorable. It wasn’t easy and she would rather take challenges.

‘Pashupati Prasad 2: Bhashme Don’ talks about Bhashme Don’s life journey; who he is, where he came from and his life paths. The lead characters of the cinema include Bipin Karki, Saugat Malla, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Maotse Gurung, Prakash Ghimire, Lokendra Lekhak among others. It will hit the cinemas on Kartik 4, Fulpati this year.
