The Cinema Times, Kathmandu- Ram Babu Gurung’s next directorial venture ‘Degree Maila: MA 3rd Class’ is all set to go on floor. The team gathered at Bhatbhateni temple on Saturday for Shubha Muhurat of the cinema. The team worshipped camera and script in the Muhurat ceremony.

The main leads of the cinema Dayahang Rai and Aanchal Sharma were present at the Muhurat. They will be seen together for the first time in ‘Degree Maila’. Actor Sharma is thrilled to be finally working with Dayahang Rai. She said it is an opportunity for her to share screen with the actor and it is also a learning experience. The team is compmetely new for her but she is blending well for her performances. Actor Dayahang Rai promised to present a good story for the audience.

Produced under the banner of Baasuri Films, the cinema is based on the popular drama Degree Maila. Dayahang Rai had played the protagonist in the drama and had also directed the play.

As per the production team, the first schedule of filming will begin from Asoj 5 at Rumjatar, Okhaldhunga and the second will follow in Mangsir. The cinema talks about the educated unemployment issues among the youths of the nation. The story is pertinent in today’s time as there are many educated youths without jobs left with a degree in hand.

Director Gurung is known for his relevant and authentic style. Last year, his directorials Kabaddi 4 was a blockbuster and Fulbari performed well. This year his production venture Jaari released which was a huge success at the box office.
