‘Parastree’ gets release permit after certain scene deduction

The Cinema Times, Kathmandu‘Parastree’ is all set to hit the screens on Asar 15 after getting censor permit. The Censor Board has given a PG certificate to the cinema.

Earlier the censor board had objected to certain scenes of the cinema. Because of some bold bed scenes, smooch scenes and violence portrayed, the board had not given permission to release.

‘Parastree’ is a thriller cinema on extra marital affairs and how lust can take a violent turn. The story surely demanded violence and erotic scenes, which the censor board found objectionable. After removal of those scenes, the cinema has been granted a PG certificate. Audiences below 16 years can watch the cinema with parental guidance.

The writer and producer of ‘Parastree’ Deependra K. Khanal informed that six such scenes were deducted before censor pass. He also stated that the members of the censor board also appreciated the cinema.

‘Parastree’ is ready to be released in both Nepali and Hindi languages. The cinema features Shilpa Maskey, Koshish Chhetri, Gaurav Bista, Alisha Chhetri in pivotal roles. Produced under the banner of D.S. Digital, Sooraj Pandey has handled the captainship. The cinema is produced by Sharmila Pandey and co-produced by Pushpraj T. Neupane.

‘Parastree’ is Sooraj Pandey’s directorial debut. The cinema has a unique storyline based on thrill, crime and deceitful human behavior. It deals with extra marital affairs gone wrong and how one turns into a criminal in the name of love and lust.

‘Parastree’ will be released in cinemas worldwide on June 30 (Asar 15).
