The Cinema Times, Kathmandu- Team ‘Bulaki’ arranged a special screening prior to its release where the cinema received very good response. The heart wrenching story of Karnali, the presentation and performances of the actors was applauded in the screening.
The positive responses have overwhelmed the team and they are expecting the same from the audiences. MP Gyanendra Shahi appreciated the performances, dialog and the way Karnali’s heart rending tale is presented in ‘Bulaki’.
The likes of director Dinesh DC, Neeta Dhungana, Harihar Adhikari were touched by the authenticity of the cinema. Actors Puspa Khadka, Gajit Bista, Raj Katuwal, Mukun Bhushal put in good words for the cinema. Director Nawal Nepal, actor Prashant Tamrakar were also present in the screening.
Surakshya Panta is known for her natural performances and ‘Bulaki’ is no exception. Actor Naren Khadka has also surprised everyone with his acting. Debut actor Biraz Bista has also given his best. ‘Bulaki’ is the first directorial venture of Laxman Sunar and he says there are many more stories of Karnali to present.
‘Bulaki’ tells a tale that originated from the village of Karnali, a story that needs to be told. It is a story about the hardships faced by a woman when she cannot bear a child. It displays the struggles and different emotional atrocities faced by her.
Produced under the banner of Chhatreshwori Management ‘Bulaki’ features Surakshya Panta, Naren Khadka, Biraj Bista, Ramesh Budhathoki, Laxmi Giri, Kuldip Adhikari, Upashana Nembang, Saraswati Khatri and Prakash Kandel. The story, dialogue, screenplay is by Raj Bahadur Sane with Shiva Dhakal as DOP and Arjun GC, Laxman Sunar as editors.
‘Bulaki’ releases on Baisakh 1, 2080 (April 14).
