The Cinema Times, Kathmandu- ‘Camino’ is a Spanish word meaning way, path, road. The cinema presents the struggle faced by the people trying to enter the USA via Mexico. The illegal immigrants walk their way to enter the land of dreams. Their arduous story will be shown in ‘Camino’.
Team ‘Camino’ has built a strong star cast and with each addition the cinema has created hype among the audiences. Actor Pradeep Khadka was the first to be associated with ‘Camino’. The production team had earlier released a theme poster with Pradeep’s name. He will play the lead in the cinema.
Actor Raj Ballav Koirala is also onboard with ‘Camino’. He is making his comeback after 9 long years. He was last seen in Ritu. Koirala has shared the news of his comeback in social media and this has got his fans excited. Though he won’t be coming to Nepal for the shoot, his portion will be shot at America where he currently resides. Koirala is still remembered for his performance in cinemas like Parkhi Base, Chhodi Gaye Paap Lagla, Apabad, Masan and others.
Actor Barsha Siwakoti has also joined the ‘Camino’ team. She is also thrilled to be part of this amazing team.
Actor Niti Shah is the latest to join the ‘Camino’ cast. She has signed the written agreement. Shah is not a new name to the glamour industry but ‘Camino’ will be her first cinema to go on floor. She had signed Hututu two years back and X9 this year. The making of Hututu is in quandary and X9 team says the shoot will begin next year. So, ‘Camino’ will be her first cinema camera experience.
Niti and Pradeep have earlier worked together in commercials. It will be interesting to watch them on the big screen.
Produced under the banner of Access Nepal Films Production, ‘Camino’ will begin shooting from the third week of Chaitra in North America, Mexico and South America, Brazil. The cinema will be released in four languages, Nepali, English, Hindi and Spanish.
Written by Mahesh Dawadi, the cinema will be directed by Dipak Oli with Sunil Bist Gauli as executive producer. The cinema will have SD Yogi and Alish Karki’s music, Samrat Basnet’s action with Saurav Lama as DOP.
