‘Prem Geet 3’ making history: The First Indo-Nepali Cinema

The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – The much awaited cinema ‘Prem Geet 3’ is making history. In the history of 50 years of Nepali cinema making, it is the first Indo-Nepali cinema which is all set to release on 23rd September in Nepal and India. It is creating buzz in Indian news portals too. It has also reached on twitter India trending number 7 as Prem Geet 3 In India.

Feels like all the hardships ‘Prem Geet 3’ team had faced brought colorful results. The dreams they had, not only for their cinema’ Prem Geet 3’ but also for the Nepali cinema industry as a whole are being fulfilled. ‘Prem Geet 3’ is all set to storm theatres in Nepal and India on the same date with the same name. The makers have launched a poster of ‘Prem Geet 3’ which mentions the release date of the cinema, 23rd September and the theatrical trailer will be released on September 1.

As the cinema is creating hype in India, news of the cinema is being shared widely in Indian media. Actor Pradeep Khadka cannot control his happiness and is genuinely grateful for all the love his cinema is receiving. He shared his happiness in a post as Bollywood Hungama published news on the cinema mentioning him as ‘the biggest superstar of Nepal’. He thanked the portal for the space as it’s the first time any Indian media has covered his news and bytes. He posted: ‘Well, I believe an artist is as big as his projects get. So looking forward for more moral support till we make PREMGEET-3 the biggest Indo-Nepal film.’

Indian cinema trade analyst Komal Nahta, Taran Adarsh and others have also shared the release date of ‘Prem Geet 3’ with the names of our Nepali stars and makers. Director Santosh Sen says this is the beginning of the journey to present Nepali art worldwide. He further writes in his post, ‘Happy and encouraged! Our years of dedication have made our dreams possible. But, we should not be content with just this. For the upliftment of the Nepali cinema industry, we should all be dedicated. It is ‘Prem Geet 3’ mania in Nepal and all states of India.’

As published by Bollywood Hungama, the bytes of Actor Pradeep Khadka reads, “I find it as my new birth as I will be having a new identity as someone who got a chance to venture into a new world, representing the Nepali film industry, for the first time in its over 50 years of history.” Lead actress Christina Gurung exclaimed, ‘I feel very blessed that the first film of my career is crossing boundaries and is making inroads into Bollywood. It’s something beyond my imagination. I am having butterflies in my stomach already!’

Mounted on a huge scale, Prem Geet 3 is on the verge of making history and breaking records. The Indian version also has four songs with popular singers like Ankit Tiwari, Palak Muchhal, Dev Negi, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Pawandeep Rajan etc. Indian filmmaker Subash kale who is also the producer of the cinema is ensured that the magic of the cinema will lure Indian audiences in the theatres.

‘Prem Geet 3’ stars Pradip khadka, Christina Gurung, Shiva Shrestha, Manish Raut, Pushkar Karki, Prem Puri, Sunil Thapa, Maotse Gurung, Laxmi Bardewa, Anubhab Regmi, Yogisha Khatri, Samriddhi Shahi Thakuri in pivotal roles.Actors Christina and Manish are making their debut in Nepali cinema industry from this cinema.

‘Prem Geet 3’ will be released all over Nepal and India on Asoj 7, this year, on the occasion of Ghatasthapana.
