The Cinema Times, Kathmandu – Upcoming Nepali cinema ‘Tulkee’ has released their teaser and first look. Presented by ‘The Palm Group’, the movie is based on polygamy system in mid-western region.
Produced by R.P. Karmacharya, Shekhar Lama and co-produced by Sangey Paljor Lama, the movie features Shisir Bangdel, Swostima Karki, Himali Hamal, Ratna Prashad Neupane, Shekhar Lama, Saujan Subba, Naren Tamang, Som Lama, Dirga Lama, Ram Prashad Devkota, Laxmi Devkota, Bhakta singh Kathayat, Junu Karki, Mahesh Limbu, Chandra Kathayat Ishwori Sevkota, Bhagi Lal Pun, Kalu Magar and Sapana.
Shot in Dolpa, ‘Tuklee’ is the first Nepali movie to showcase polygamy system in mid-western region. Before the movie went on floors, the makers had to do their internal study for about four years.
The teaser and first look was released at a program organized in One Cinemas in Baneshwor.
Polygamy system is a system in the olden days where younger brother marries and the elder brother can sleep with his wife and bear children together. The makers will first release the movie in different festivals and then in cinema halls.
The movie also showcases how a girl who grew up in lower region of Dolpa gets married and goes to the Upper region of Dolpa and the struggle she faces in the name of family practice.
