The Cinema Times, Kathmandu- The first look poster of Mithila Sharma and Surakshya Panta’s upcoming cinema ‘Aama’ is out and it features them as in the role of a mother and daughter respectively.
The cinema penned and directed by Dipendra K Khanal is based on the social and cultural issue which shows the life of mother Mithila Sharma and her daughter Surakshya Panta. The posters reflects the issue against the practise of the daughter not being allowed to be there at her own parents cremation and light their funeral pyre.
In a Hindu religion where women aren’t allowed to attend funerals believing that they are too weak and emotional to witness a dead body being burnt, here the poster shows the daughter doing cremation of her mother which is very rare.
The cinema produced by Sharmila Pandey also features Desh Bhakta Khanal, Sarita Giri, Manish Niraula, Padam Buda and many others in the major roles.
‘Aama’ is slated to release in 9th of Falgun on the occasion of Maha Shiva Ratri.
