The Cinema Times, Kathmandu- Nepali Cine Industry came together to celebrate the best talent in the industry at 6th edition of NFDC Awards.

Anmol KC won the Best Actor for ‘Kri’ while the Benisha Hamal received the Best Actress for ‘Blind Rocks’. ‘Shatru Gate’ won the best cinema and Milan Chams grabbed best director for ‘Lily Bily’. Award parted into 20 categories, ‘Shatru Gate’ bagged 5, ‘Lily Bily’ 4, and ‘Aishwarya’ occupied 3 categories Award.

Most Grosser ‘Chakka Panja 2’ in nomination categories received only 1 Award. Kedar Ghimire winning Best comedian Award marked ‘Chakka Panja 2’ position in winner list. Phulman Bal from Kantipur Media grabbed the Best journalist award this year. Similarly, Ramesh Budhathoki won Jury Critics award for his performance in ‘Bhuimanche’.

Award Function with Deep Rainfall Mess Award function held at ground of 5 stars hotel Hyatt became nuisance due to rainfall. Function was paused right after 4 categories award handover due to rainfall, however, managed to re-conduct.

Moreover, the rainfall misfortune was not taking a rest. While handing over the award for winners in additional 3 categories at second phase, heavy rainfall took place. This time, it was impossible to carry the function in the stage. Haphazardly, organizer handed over the award inside Hyatt hotel.
