A new campaign has been started by soccer star Lionel Messi and tennis star Serena Williams in order to educate 58 million children. The campaign also includes children from Bangladesh and Indonesia.
The two stars will help in fulfilling the children’s dreams by educating them. The idea was brought by Messi’s club Barcelona in association with Qatar airways. The campaign have a target to educate 2 lakh 65 thousand children in Nepal.
17 stars from UK have promised to help the team in this campaign. UNICEF executive head Anthony Lake mentioned, ‘Education is not a luxury, it is a necessity’.
The film will be shown during Sunday’s Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid match. Both Messi and Williams are the goodwill ambassadors for U.N. children’s agency UNICEF.
