80 films from 20 countries to get launched at KIMFF (with video)

Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF)

Himal Association organized film festival – Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF) will start from coming Thursday i.e. 11th December. The four day long festival will be premiered at Kumari cinema hall.

Even though more than 250 films had participated, only 80 films from 20 different countries will be premiered. UK based photographer Henry Edon, Italian film maker Paolo Nesi and American mountaineer David are the judges for the festival.

The entries for the film festival are increasing every year. The teenage group are showing more interest in the festival. The films will also be premiered at Russian Art Center in the last day.

Media person Bhojraj Bhatt directed film ‘Sunakali‘ which is about a girl having passion towards football will also be premiered.

The film makers, producers and audiences from 35 different countries will attend the festival. The top three films will be awarded with 15 hundred, 1 thousand and 5 hundred dollar respectively.
